The Ultimate Guide to Using Scarlett 2i2 Ipad Garageband for Mobile Music Production

I was using an older version of garageband, I currently updated to OS X El Capitan and with it came garageband 10.0.1. Whenever I connect my scarlett 2i2, garageband detects it and will ask if I want to use it, but when I go to record, garageband doesn't pick up any sound from my microphone. I have the preferences set to the scarlett 2i2 as input and have tried everything and it will not pick up sound. The mic and the interface are both working properly as I have used them right before updating from GB 5.1.
